Frequently Asked Questions about CPR Classes CPR Certification

There are generally 3/4 levels of CPR courses depending on what your profession or work requires.

BLS Provider:  This Advanced CPR course should be taken by a "first responder" or “professional rescuer” such as a Nurse, Physician, EMT,  or other Medical Provider who works in a medical environment. 

HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED:  I am not a healthcare professional and I need a CPR AED and/or First Aid CERTIFICATION course for work purposes. (Personal Trainer, Coach, School Teacher, Babysitting)

HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED:  Same as above, focusing on pediatrics. Designed to meet regulatory requirements for childcare workers in all 50 United States. DHR Preferred course for daycares and foster parents.

American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) First Aid CPR AED: An affordable option for traditional CPR and First Aid training meeting the requirements of OSHA and other regulatory agencies. A paper CPR card is provided. (Construction workers, fitness trainers, corporate office personnel)  

I want a general CPR course to prepare me to save the life of a loved one. I do not need a credential (certification card). A Participation Certificate is Provided. THIS IS NOT A CERTIFICATION COURSE

Absolutely! We provide the option to perform compressions on a table or the hospital bed in our "Code" room. 

American Heart Association utilizes eCards sent to the participants email address. You can search your inbox and spam/junk folder for "ecard", or check AHA's website for your card:

Payment is processed on site at the end of the course. An electronic receipt will be provided for the attendee's records. ALL forms of payment are accepted.

We can process any payment forms such as Credit Card, Check, Apple Pay, Cash App, or Cash. If paying with cash, please provide exact change. Additionally, we are able to invoice your employer should they be sponsoring your attendance in one of our courses. We use Square Point of Sale business processing solutions. An electronic receipt will be provided at the time of payment processing. 

We are an American Heart Association Authorized Training Site and offer all of AHA course certifications. Additionally we are a Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, National Safety Council Training Site, and ASHI Training Site. We offer a wide variety of courses and certifications. The course you register for will clearly identify which agency the credential will come from.

The American Heart Association disburses eCards typically within 5 business of the course completion. However, We offer expedited eCard service for those who need their card at the end of their class. There is an additional fee for expedited eCards ($20). 

Comfortable clothing that will allow you to get on the floor to deliver chest compressions to a manikin. 

All products and resources are provided to the student for the course. You may wish to take to notes, and would need to bring your own supplies for that. A provider manual and additional printed materials are provided for the open resource exam associated with some of the courses. Additionally, we offer Provider Manuals for sale if the student wishes to purchase one, but this not required to attend the course. 

There is no minimum age to take CPR courses. The general rule is the participant must be old enough to complete the course requirements such as an exam or skill test. We regularly have participants as young as 10 to 12 years old. This would be the prime age they start babysitting.
